Wow - we went up Big White Peak a couple days ago and it was truly spectacular. Wildflowers, mountain goats, eagles and panoramic views. Big White is one of the more challenging hikes at Island Lake near Fernie BC and a guide is highly recommended. It takes about 6 hours roundtrip and has an elevation gain of 2,800 feet.
